Week 5 Blogposts_BK

This is a photo I took this week during our onsite class with adv. digital photography. It was taken at the "roman beach" in the area called EUR, which is outside of the old city of room and is relatively modern in comparison. I like the composition of my photograph and how there are such a variety of elements that draw the viewer into the photograph through their angles, leading to the vanishing point- demonstrated by the direction of the bush, rocks, sky and water- all angle back in unison to the vanishing point- creating a large amount of depth in the compostion.

This photograph is an example of a photograph with a similar principle to the photograph we were shown in class of the man lying down. Both the example photograph and this photograph I found online use the principle element of "forshortening" to give the photo an abstracted aura. This photograph seems almost unrealistic the way the feet are huge and the body isnt even visible- but this is literally what this situtation looks like because the feet are so far in front of the person that they appear so large to the viewer that the rest of the models body is covered and it appears we are just looking at the bottom of feet with no body.

This photograph I found on the world press photography website.  The photographer is Fabio Cuttica an Italian photographer born in Rome; who has taken a photograph that exemplifies the idea of "imidating real life"; the genre of  his work is of the 'Cinema' catergory. And in this photograph we see Actor Fabian Lopez on set in Tijuana playing the lead in the film El Baleado 2. This violent movie (and scene) reflect a glamorized take on the life of a 'drug lord'
